European governments lack the will to help the Roma
Anti-Gypsyism in Europe. In a number of European countries, racism against the Roma is socially acceptable. They are often the victims of racial violence. Many countries lack the political will to act despite the resources the EU has allocated for this purpose. Political leaders at national and local level must now take a stand, writes Minister for Integration Erik Ullenhag.
Hillevi Engström visits Australia
Minister for Employment Hillevi Engström is visiting Canberra and Sydney this week (19-22 March) to study how Australia organises its efforts to support and assist those outside the labour market. During the trip Ms Engström will meet Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations Bill Shorten to exchange experiences concerning the labour market and employment services.
